Having difficulty finding useful FOI, Privacy and Records Management training materials specific to local government? Training specific to British Columbia legislation has not been readily available until now! The LGMA is proud to present three courses on-demand courses on FOI, Privacy, and Records Management, created specifically for BC local governments. Each registration is separate and courses do not have to be taken in a particular order. While you do not have to take all three, we recommend you do, as the three topics are inherently integrated in local government.

Whether you’ve just become responsible for processing your organization’s FOI requests and administration of their Privacy Management program, you’re new to local government, or you’re a seasoned local government employee who needs to update and refresh your understanding of these topics, these courses will deliver the fundamental knowledge you need to be successful.
These foundational level courses were developed by the LGMA’s FIPPA – Records Management Advisory Committee and leading subject matter experts, specifically for local government employees. They can be completed at your own pace and will be complemented by a live “Ask the Experts” session on November 7.
